Our Winner: The Revival.
The winner of this award will be the New Day when the Slammy Awards are handed out. Not in our minds. No team has been better in WWE this year than the Revival.
The Revival have put on some incredible matches this year in NXT. Many fans are chomping at the bit to get them on either the RAW or Smackdown roster.
They have put on 2 great matches against American Alpha (NXT Takeover: Dallas and NXT Takeover: The End). They also put on 2 match of the year candidates against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II and NXT Takeover: Toronto).
The Revival have officially brought tag team wrestling back (at least in my opinion). I think they deserve credit for the incredibl year that they have had.
Our Finalist: The New Day
As me mentioned, the New Day have had an incredible year. They have held the tag team titles all year-long and have been very entertaining. We chose to value in-ring work over entertainment value in our selection but we understand why a lot of fans will choose the New Day.
