Over the past couple of months, we have seen a rise in talent in male and female stars that are on the NXT roster, some that I find very promising. This will be the first part of a Top 10 list of talents in NXT that will lead the brand into the New Era. Please note, these are in no particular order and completely subjective, and I encourage all of you to sound off in the comments down below and on Twitter with your thoughts!

5.) Andrade “Cien” Almas

On a previous list of mine, I had called Almas a “warm-up talent” for any debuting or returning wrestler going to NXT. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as he helps with debuting/returning wrestlers showcase their talents and have the fans get acquainted with them. This has been evident with wrestlers such as Drew McIntyre, and Aleister Black (formerly known as Tommy End.) He is the right wrestler to step up to the plate in helping put over the wrestlers in NXT.

Andrade “Cien” Almas also isn’t bland as a character. He has the personality, and the talent to make him a force to be reckoned with in the ring. Whether people find this comment disrespectful, I apologize, but his personality reminds me in someway of Eddie Guerrero, in the sense that he was cocky and arrogant but he could also back it up in the ring. He may not be the cornerstone in NXT, but he is what helps keep the wheel spinning.

4.) Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa

I’m cheating the system a bit here, but these two are leading the NXT tag team champion despite not being champion. #DIY has proved time and time again that they are one, if not THE, best tag team in NXT currently and have gone on to put on fantastic matches at NXT TakeOver events (i.e. #DIY vs. The Revival vs. Authors of Pain). Ever since American Alpha and The Revival left, #DIY has been left to fill a void in NXT’s tag team division and I believe that they have exceeded in that department.

It does not appear that the NXT crowd is tired of seeing them, as they are always getting amped up whenever they see this extraordinary tag team.

Gargano and Ciampa have a great move-set, and great chemistry together in and outside of the ring, making the matches they put on a spectacle to watch, and leaving the fans satisfied whenever they see a match with these two featured in it. The two men that put on one of the greatest matches in the Cruiserweight Classic are destined for greatness, and as long as they are still in NXT, they will forever be the glue for the NXT Tag Team division.
