5 (Male) Stars That Will Lead NXT Into The “New Era”

1) Drew McIntyre

The former “Chosen One” has made his return to the WWE and has debuted in NXT, making his presence known within the first match that he had. He has dominated the competition so far with hard-hitting offense, making it known to the NXT crowd that he is back to make a name for himself and that he is coming after the NXT title.

No matter who the champion is when he becomes the #1 contender, we can almost guarantee that he will take the NXT Championship and cement his dominance within the singles division.

For those that don’t know, Drew McIntyre used to be a part of the WWE and had a gimmick to where he was Vince McMahon’s “Chosen One.” He would go on to become the Intercontinental champion, and a tag team champion with Cody Rhodes; however, this dominance would not last long as he was eventually put into a faction with Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal known as 3MB (3 Man Band). This was a goofy/jobber-esque faction where they were a rock group, and jammed out to air guitars. These guys were considered jokes but ultimately became “fan-favorites” in the internet wrestling community…because….wrestling.

Regardless of his downward spiral of a run, he went to the indies as Drew Galloway and proved that he is a superb talent in the ring, gaining championship glory around the world. I am a firm believer that Drew McIntyre will become the new face of NXT and will be the leader in the brand’s “New Era.”
