5 Reasons Why WrestleMania 33 Should Be The Undertaker’s Last Match

5) Time to Pass The Torch

The Undertaker vs John Cena at WrestleMania seems like a very entertaining match and I believe it would be the perfect ending to The Undertaker’s legacy. However, if The Undertaker is going to be retiring soon, there should be a new star that goes over and benefits from the accolade of defeating The Undertaker in his yard.

If that new star is Roman Reigns, then I’d say do it. If Vince McMahon truly believes that Reigns defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania will get him respect with the WWE Universe, although that doesn’t seem to be the case in the IWC, then I’d say do it. While I feel like there are younger stars that deserve the rub a little bit more (i.e. Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles just to name a few,) Roman Reigns does fall in the “New Era” category as he will be carrying the company once the John Cena’s and Undertaker’s are retired from the wrestling business and won’t have another match.

The “passing of the torch” moment should have happened with Bray Wyatt as he is the “New Era’s” Undertaker in my opinion. The next man that is close to having that Undertaker character is Finn Bálor. Had he not been injured, perhaps this match could’ve occurred this year. Regardless of which young star gets this high honor, it has to be a young star, not a part-timer. Like most people say, those that are going to retire would rather go on their backs. This is a great way to end such a legendary career.

That’s my list! I’ll be honest, I got a bit teary eyed writing this list as it’ll be truly a shame once The Undertaker does retire. Do you agree or disagree with the list? What are your thoughts?
