5 Reasons Why WWE Would Book John Cena vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania

2.) Everybody goes through John Cena

Another fact that many people don’t want to admit, John Cena is the measuring stick in the WWE. Almost any newcomer to the main roster eventually crosses paths with the Doctor of Thuganomics.

We’ve seen him go head-to-head with the likes of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and most recently, AJ Styles. Those three wrestlers alone have benefitted in some way by being in a match with “Big Match” John. Sami Zayn, while he hasn’t been in a title picture in a while, showcased his skills and can prove that he can hang in the big leagues.

Kevin Owens has put on high-profile matches with John Cena and is currently the WWE Universal champion. AJ Styles had a great series of matches with John Cena, emerging victorious after their bout at SummerSlam this past summer, and is now the current WWE World Champion.

With this in mind, Roman Reigns has not had a high-profile singles match with John Cena. It seems like the WWE has put off having these two titans collide, as both wrestlers have been in plenty of bouts with other opponents.

Roman Reigns has gone through everybody, except John Cena, and he will not truly become the new face of WWE until he beats John Cena.
