5.) Passing of the Torch Moment

This is the one thing that matters the most out of this. A match between Cena and Reigns at WrestleMania is the best way to have a passing of the torch moment. Now, I’m not saying that a major title should be on the line, the title doesn’t matter in this case. I feel that the singles match between these two men will be significant enough without the title. Why should John Cena pass the torch to Roman Reigns?

It is no secret now that John Cena is slowly making the transition to Hollywood like The Rock did, which means he will slowly not be involved as much with the WWE inside of the ring. Cena may have a “part time” label on him, but the WWE cannot rely on part timers to keep selling tickets.

It is a formula that works, but in this case, they rely too much on John Cena as he is arguably one of the biggest draws in the WWE. There will come a time where it is possible that Cena will not to be in the ring anymore, which will be a heartbreaking moment for many and the WWE will lose their biggest money-maker. Everyone leaves or retires, it is only a matter of time before we can’t see John Cena anymore.

Many people have painted the label on Roman Reigns being “Cena 2.0,” which makes a lot of sense. His push appears to be similar to that of John Cena, he has the look to be the next John Cena, and Vince McMahon thinks very highly of him. He is already a 3x WWE World Champion and is the current United States champion. He has also put on some of his best matches this year alone, letting everyone know that he can wrestle, and hang with the best talent out there.
