1) Brock Lesnar’s Contract Status With WWE
One of the biggest stories in WWE after Wrestlemania 34 will be the status of Brock Lesnar. His contract with WWE is expected to expire in the weeks/ months following the event.
Brock is a pretty polarizing guy among WWE fans. A lot of fans dislike that he shows up only a few times a month. Like him or not, it seems that he is still a big draw for casual fans.
There have been plenty of rumors about Brock over the past year. There was some buzz months ago that he had interest in fighting in the UFC again. This would be something that he can explore freely if he wants to now that his contract is coming to an end.
Will he leave to go back to fighting? Will he re-sign for another few years in a similar deal to what he has now?
It is interesting to think about a WWE without Brock and how things would be different. Something to keep our eyes on over the next several months.
2) Vince McMahon’s Focus On Football
Vince McMahon has made it clear in his public statements that his involvement with the XFL’s return won’t change his day-to-day position with WWE. While he says that, it is pretty unrealistic to think that he is going to be able to give both companies his full attention.
Vince is a workaholic and there is no doubt in my mind that he is going to try to do as much as he can. Still, I think that realistically he is going to start missing more WWE shows. There are only 24 hours in a day and he has to balance two major companies.
A major storyline up until the XFL’s return in 2020 will be how it affects his involvement with WWE. Will his attention turn mostly to Football? Will he be able to balance both roles? Will be interesting to keep track of over the next year.
I am not saying that Vince is going to be walking away from WWE completely, just that his focus might be split for the next few years.
