5) Daniel Bryan’s Contract Expiring
Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expires in September of 2018. It is already a heavy topic of debate about if he will wrestle again for WWE. Expect talk to heavily increase as we get closer to his contract expiring.

Bryan has been adamant about returning to wrestling again. It seems clear that he will wrestle again, whether that be in WWE or elsewhere. From all interviews that he has done, it seems like his mind is made up.
The question is, will WWE feel any kind of pressure to let him wrestle? Will they want to see him go to a Ring of Honor or New Japan Pro Wrestling? It will certainly make things more interesting.
Expect this to be a heavy topic of conversation and speculation over the next several months. I don’t know if he should wrestle again or if he shouldn’t. What I do know is that this will be a hot-button issue.
6) WWE’s Television Contract Expiring
On September 30th, 2019 WWE’s Television contract with NBC Universal (which is the parent company of the USA Network) will be expiring. While that is still a long time away, WWE’s next television deal will likely be a big topic of conversation over the next year.
It has already begun as there are rumors making the rounds that FOX could have some interest in purchasing not only the WWE television rights but maybe even WWE itself. Those are just rumors though for now and I am sure we will hear more over the next several months.
If WWE did move to FOX, rumors suggest that Monday Night RAW could move to 2 hours. RAW currently being 3 hours is always an interesting topic, with a lot of fans feeling like it is too long. Another topic to keep our eyes on as we get closer to a new television deal.
There are a lot of unknowns still with WWE’s next Television deal. We expect this to be a major topic in 2018 as WWE negotiates with various places. Will be interesting to see what happens and if any major changes are made.
