News broke a few days ago that Aleister Black suffered an injury at a recent NXT live event. There was not much information known originally, other than that Black was injured wrestling Tommaso Ciampa.
We have some more details to pass your way about the injury.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Black suffered a torn groin during a live event match with Ciampa.
Satin says that Black underwent surgery this week and his status is in serious doubt for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4. Recovery from this type of injury is typically 3 weeks or longer. Takeover: Brooklyn takes place in less than 2 weeks.
It was originally looking like we getting Black vs Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano for the NXT Championship. Now that match is in jeopardy.
