8 Bold Predictions For WWE In 2017

8) AJ Styles Passes CM Punk’s Title Reign of 434 Days

AJ Styles has recently eclipsed the 100 day mark on his current reign as WWE World Champion.

Now we know that WWE loves to erase names from the record book of people that they dislike. They just had the New Day eclipse the 483 day record for Demolition and immediately lose the titles. Demolition is involved in a lawsuit against WWE based on injuries sustained in the ring.

The longest modern-day record for a WWE Championship reign is CM Punk at 434 days several years ago. We all know WWE’s relationship with CM Punk isn’t on the greatest terms and they are currently involved in a lawsuit against one another.

I can see AJ Styles eclipsing the record of CM Punk. It might sound crazy but AJ Styles is a guy that has been on absolute fire since he made his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble. He consistently is able to put on fantastic matches and is one of the best in the world in the ring today.

I think we could see WWE hitch their wagon to Styles and have him erase CM Punk from the record books.

  1. No way Roman turns heel and AJ hold the belt more than 434 days since they will let AJ lose to belt at Royal Rumble, they rather let Roman pass CM Punk’s record

  2. If roman turns heel i would be surprised, but if roman reigns turned heel and both won and lost matches cleanly then i would mark out like crazy.
