Meltzer’s ratings are a pretty controversial topic among wrestling fans. Some fans like to use his ratings as a guideline for strong matches. Others can’t stand that fans value his opinion so much. One thing is certain, they get people talking.
Meltzer rated Okada vs Omega IV in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It is now his highest-rated match of all-time.
Meltzer awarded the match 7 stars. You read that correctly, 7 stars out of a possible 5. He says that he doesn’t think he will ever see a match that good in his lifetime. It beats out the 6.25 rating that Meltzer gave their match at Dominion last year.
