NXT Takeover events have been a major success since the first show in May of 2014. 2017 was a big year for NXT, with the first-ever War Games match under the WWE banner, as well as many great matches throughout the year.

We have some new details on the number of NXT Takeover events in 2018 and the event schedule.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), there is currently scheduled to be 5 Takeover events in 2018.
WWE will reportedly be doing a Takeover event in Chicago before the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View in June. It was revealed that Money in the Bank will be co-branded this year, so it looks like WWE is adding Money in the Bank to their big 4 events (Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble. Survivor Series and Summerslam).
– NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th, 2018. The night before the Royal Rumble.
– NXT TakeOver: New Orleans on April 7, 2018. The night before Wrestlemania.
