3) Braun Strowman’s Current Brand Status
According to journalist Tom Colohue, Braun Strowman is not moving to RAW. ‘RAW Underground’ is being used as a “special non-brand arena”, which means that Superstars from any brand can appear at any time.
Here is what Colohue wrote about the situation:
At the moment, Braun Strowman is still a SmackDown guy. I have reached out and have had that confirmed and RAW Underground is being used as a special non-brand arena right now. It’s very possible that come the draft he will be moved but at the moment, it’s another case of the company not having anything for someone right now. Shane McMahon has enough room to help someone out, much like he’s done with Shayna Baszler in the past.
My Take:
- This makes sense. I get that it is called ‘RAW Underground’ but it shouldn’t be limited to just RAW guys and girls. This will ultimately make things more competitive.
2) Shane McMahon Is Not Done Wrestling
Shane McMahon was recently a guest on the After the Bell podcast. During this, he was asked if he has any interest in wrestling one more match for WWE.
Shane hinted that he still has a few more matches left in him:
“Never say never, I’ll never say that. It’s not about me right now. It is about developing new talent or talent that is here and giving them a platform. If I can help out and have a good showcase with an up and coming talent, I love being able to do that, or an existing one…I still got a few left in me, I think.”
My Take:
- I don’t think I have any interest in seeing more Shane matches. I love the guy but I would rather that he stay in a backstage role.
