3) Tyson Fury Was Backstage At Backlash
Tyson Fury was backstage for the Wrestlemania Backlash PPV with his son. Photos have been making the rounds of Fury and his son backstage at the show.
This is interesting to note because Tyson Fury is rumored for a future match against Drew McIntyre, possibly at the next PPV event in Saudi Arabia. While he might have just been visiting, this is something to keep your eye on.
My Take:
- Fury vs McIntyre could be a fun feud. If nothing else, it will help elevate the career of Drew with fans outside of wrestling.
2) Possible Summerslam Locations
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and somewhere in Texas is being considered by WWE to host Summerslam.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
There have been several cities and locations discussed, but internally Las Vegas seems to be gaining a lot of steam. We’d also heard Phoenix, and a nondescript “Texas” thrown around. We’d not heard of any internal discussions of New York City as of this past weekend, though Dave Meltzer has heard that MSG is in consideration.
My Take:
- I don’t think it will be MSG. I think it makes more sense to be an outdoor show. We will have to wait and see.
