Rumor Roundup: Original Plans For The Next WWE Draft, What Daniel Bryan Is Pitching To WWE, More

1) The Original Plans For The Next WWE Draft

According to a report from Fightful, WWE was originally planning a draft for the end of August.

The site says that WWE has changed their plans for this draft several times now. Here is what they wrote:

Fightful learned that a draft was originally set for the end of August, before being moved to September. After it was set for September, it was moved to October, then back and forth again. The original source that we heard the story from in June had noted WWE had informed some broadcast partners of both Draft plans and live event plans, the latter of which was nixed completely.

At this point, we haven’t heard what the current plan for a draft is, if it will take place, what brands are involved or what the format is. We’ve heard that the plans have changed numerous times, however.

The report also says that WWE is not planning to end the brand split:

We’re told there are no current plans to end the brand split.

My Take:

  • I think that a roster shake-up could really help. It would freshen things up and would get some excitement back for both shows. I hope that they pull the trigger.
