1) RAW Women’s Division Plans
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Shayna Baszler was originally planned to face Asuka at Clash of Champions. These plans changed after Shayna and Nia Jax won the Women’s tag team belts.
Meltzer says that Natalya was also considered as Asuka’s opponent at the event but they decided against it.
Vince McMahon spoke a few weeks ago about Bianca Belair and Peyton Royce receiving singles pushes. Meltzer says that Vince forgot about Bianca. Peyton was also kept off the September 14th episode of RAW:
Vince McMahon a few weeks ago had talked about singles pushes for Bianca Belair (who he then forgot about) and Peyton Royce (leading to The Iiconics split up) but Royce wasn’t even on TV this week.
My Take:
- I hope that we get Peyton vs Asuka at Hell in a Cell. That would be a great match and so would Bianca vs Asuka. I would be happy with either.
