Rumor Roundup: The Plans For Survivor Series, Creative Issues With WWE Payback, More

3) Update On The Rumors Of Fans Attending Summerslam

Over the past month, there have been rumors that Vince McMahon wants Summerslam to have (real) fans in attendance. We have the latest update for you on the situation.

According to @Wrestlevotes, Summerslam will not take place at the WWE Performance Center but there won’t be any fans in attendance. Here is what the account Tweeted:

Good news, Bad news:

SummerSlam will not take place in the PC.

However, no fans will be in attendance.

Source still unsure on exact location, as the northeast possibility is now said to be iffy at best.

My Take:

  • I am fine with a unique location with no fans in attendance. It will be interesting to see what ends up happening as there have been plenty of rumors over the past several weeks.

2) Update On The Rumors Of Summerslam Taking Place In Atlantic City

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Summerslam will not be taking place in Atlantic City as previously rumored. The event will be held somewhere in Florida.

Here is what he wrote:

PWInsider.com has confirmed that any WWE plans to tape content for Summerslam in Atlantic City have been dropped.  We are told that the show will be held in Florida.

My Take:

  • With Summerslam approaching fast, it seems crazy that their plans are not locked in yet. Classic WWE though, waiting until the last-minute.
