1) WWE Makes Interesting Pitch To Kairi Sane
On his Youtube channel, journalist Tom Colohue spoke about Kairi Sane’s departure from WWE. Colohue says that WWE has an interesting idea that they have pitched to Kairi to try and keep her with the company.
He says that WWE has pitched for Kairi to be a major part of their NXT Japan brand.
On the NXT Japan brand, Kairi could wrestle, coach, and recruit. She would also serve as a big name that they can use to draw eyeballs to the product. Colohue says that NXT Japan was supposed to launch by this point but the COVID-19 pandemic has put those plans on hold.
Kairi is said to have received a “pretty lucrative” offer from WWE, which still appears to be on the table.
My Take:
- If they are starting NXT Japan, Kairi Sane would be an amazing building block for them. I don’t blame WWE for trying to keep her around. It will be interesting to see if this new brand happens due to the circumstances in the world right now.
