3) Scrapped Plans For The WWE Network
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince McMahon has scrapped the plans to have a tiered version of the WWE Network.
There were rumors for months that WWE was planning different tiers for the Network at different price points. Vince has abandoned the idea for now.
My Take:
- This makes sense during the COVID-19 pandemic. I think that there would be a lot of backlash if WWE started charging more for content right now. It seems smart of WWE to put these plans on the backburner.
2) WWE Possibly Bringing Back Old PPV
According to the @Wrestlevotes account, WWE will be bringing back the Payback PPV. The last time that WWE ran Payback was back in 2017.
This event will be happening only one week after Summerslam.
My Take:
- Only one week after Summerslam seems really dumb. I can’t think of one good reason why they would do this so soon.
