Rumor Roundup: WWE Makes Major Changes To The Wrestlemania 36 Card, Superstars Leaving, More

3) Jeff Hardy To Return Soon

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jeff Hardy was backstage at Smackdown on Friday and he is also expected to be backstage next week.

This seemingly hints that Jeff will be returning to Smackdown soon.

Jeff Hardy was backstage at last night’s Smackdown taping, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Hardy is currently slated to be at next week’s taping as well, so it appears he is slated to return to the Smackdown brand when he returns to WWE programming.

My Take:

  • I will be excited to see Jeff return as he has always been one of my favorite wrestlers. I hope that he has figured out his personal issues and hope that he can stay healthy.

2) Match No Longer Planned For Wrestlemania 36

Dave Meltzer reported last week that John Cena vs Elias was the plan for Wrestlemania 36. Those plans have now been dropped by WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is no longer planning Cena vs Elias for the event. A reason was not given for the change, just that WWE has decided to change things up.

My Take:

  • I was not a fan of Cena vs Elias so I am definitely happy about this.
