1) WWE’s Plan For The Future Of The Brand Split
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is not planning to make it a normal thing where Superstars appear on both RAW and Smackdown. This was a rumor after Roman Reigns appeared on this week’s episode of RAW.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Regarding talk that the top stars may appear on both brands like Reigns to try and boost ratings after this week. “Not a long-term strategy. Not even a short-term one.” Of course all can change on a moment’s notice but as of this week this wasn’t something they were planning on regularly doing.
My Take:
- I think this is the smart decision. Keep things separate so shows like Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble feel bigger.
