Shayna Baszler won the NXT Women’s Championship from Kairi Sane at WWE Evolution. There was a photo making the rounds after the event that featured Shayna on crutches. This obviously started some rumors that Shayna suffered an ankle injury during the match.
We have an injury update on Shayna to pass your way.
It is good news for Baszler fans. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), the injury to Shayna is not serious.
Meltzer says that she is not expected to miss much time (if any) due to the injury. It is likely that she was advised to use the crutches as a precaution after the match.

That is obviously great news that it isn’t anything to worry about. She will more than likely defend her NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Takeover: War Games II in a few weeks.
