The Kliq – 10 Former WWE Stars That Hate The Group

7) Mo

You might remember Mo as one-half of the “Men on a Mission” tag team alongside Viscera (aka Mabel). He worked for WWE from 1993 until 1996. Mo claims that the influence of the Kliq was so strong that after an incident with Shawn Michaels backstage, he was taken off WWE TV. In an interview with The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, Mo talks about what happened.

Mo On Why He Hated The Kliq:

“Shawn Michaels comes out of the shower and he hit me in the back harder then I’ve ever been hit on the football field, he just knocked the hell out of me. The operative word from me was excuse-me and his response was f*ck excuse me, you guys have no work ethic”

My response was being the man that I am is if you put your hands on me again, I’m gonna beat your f*cking-a*s. Did I pay for it? Yeah, dearly. What did it get me? It got me pulled off TV for nine months and I had to travel on the road for nine months and not work”

Mo says the incident and him getting taken off tv caused him to get very depressed:

“In that nine months I got highly depressed and I attempted suicide”

A horror story of how much power the group really had backstage.

6) Bob Holly

Another guy that didn’t get along with the Kliq was former WWE star: Bob (aka Hardcore) Holly. He competed in WWE from 1994 until 2009 in various roles and worked with every member of the infamous group.

From various interviews, it is clear that Holly was not a fan of the group and he had a lot of animosity towards some of the individual members. This includes in his book: ‘The Hardcore Truth: The Bob Holly Story‘:

“As much as they claimed to be tight, The Kliq’s members were a bunch of cowards who wouldn’t go to bat for each other when things got rough”

When asked about his memories of the Kliq in a shoot interview, Holly admitted that he hated them:

“I hated them, just because the way they acted, they ran everything. Guys didn’t have a chance when they were around. To this day Scott Hall, I’d like to smack him across his face”

5) Bam Bam Bigelow

Former WWE star Bam Bam Bigelow left the WWE in 1995 after rumored problems with Kliq members backstage.

In a shoot interview with Title Match Wrestling (h/t ProWrestlingStories for the transcript), Bam Bam spoke about his displeasure with the Kliq:

“Everything is strength is numbers…and [The Kliq] had the numbers. You know, you had Diesel, you had Michaels and Helmsley – or Triple H, whatever the hell his [name is now], Scott Hall…this group of guys that were actually telling Vince McMahon what to do”

He continued, talking about the Kliq ruining livelihoods:

“A terrible, terrible time. It hurt a lot of people. To them it became a joke because they had control, so it was like, ‘Okay, let’s f*ck with this guy now…okay, well we got him out, now let’s go to this guy and let’s ruin his life and get HIM fired. Okay – now let’s go to this guy…’ And that’s what they did – just toyed with people’s emotions and livelihoods…”
