Wrestlemania 34 Preview – 8 Mistakes That WWE Should Avoid

Here is our Wrestlemania 34 preview. We list some mistakes that WWE should avoid doing at Wrestlemania 34. A reminder that this is only our opinion.

Mistake #1: Ronda Rousey’s Debut Match Goes For Too Long

Triple H matches usually go pretty long at Wrestlemania. Actually, Triple H has had the longest match in 6 of the past 7 Wrestlemania events.

It would be a big mistake if that happens this year. This will be Ronda Rousey’s first match ever and there is no reason for it to go longer than 15 minutes. The company needs to keep Rousey’s ring-time short to make sure that she doesn’t get exposed. It is not that I am not confident in her abilities but I don’t think a long match will be in her best interest. Not to mention, Stephanie isn’t a full-time wrestler either to help carry the match. Ronda looking bad on the biggest stage of Wrestlemania would drastically hurt her stock moving forward.

The match running long would be a mistake in my opinion. Keep it short but have some great moments to make everybody look good.

Mistake #2: Daniel Bryan Losing His Return Match

Daniel Bryan will team up with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The stipulation is that if Kevin and Sami win, they will be reinstated. If they lose, they will remain fired from Smackdown Live.

I think that it would be an absolute mistake to have any other finish than Daniel Bryan winning at Wrestlemania 34.

This has the potential to be one of the best feel-good moments in recent Wrestlemania history. Daniel Bryan returns for his first match back from retirement in New Orleans. This is the same place where Bryan defeated Batista and Randy Orton in an incredible moment.

Bryan picking up the win and having the crowd chant ‘YES!’ will be incredible. I think that it would be a mistake for Bryan’s squad to lose. You can work around the stipulation by having Owens and Zayn drafted to RAW.

Mistake #3: Giving Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss Too Much Time

I think that WWE needs to keep the RAW Women’s Title match at Wrestlemania 34 short and sweet. There are a few reasons why:

1) This is a match that doesn’t need a lot of time to tell a good story. Regardless of who wins the Title, you can keep it short. Alexa finds a way to quickly get one over on Nia to retain. Or, Nia dominates Alexa to win the Title. Both could be accomplished in a 5-minute match.

2) Wrestlemania 34 is going to be a long show. A few matches are unfortunately going to get cut a bit short. I think this would be a prime candidate if I had to choose.

With the stacked Wrestlemania card, I think that it would be a mistake to have this match take up a lot of time. They can tell their story in a few minutes.
