Wrestling Isn’t Fake, Just Ask These WWE Stars

7) John Cena

John Cena appeared on the Ballin’ Out Podcast back in 2016. During the interview he defended wrestling, saying that anyone who calls it fake, is ignorant.

Here was his response:

“When the company’s name is World Wrestling Entertainment, we openly say in the name of the company that it is entertainment. You are buying a ticket, you are clicking on the WWE Network, you are watching USA Network to be entertained through sport. It is scripted. We say it in the title, so for somebody to come out and say, ‘ah, it’s fake!’, it’s like saying Game Of Thrones is fake”

Cena continued:

“I don’t mind if someone says, ‘well, that type of entertainment isn’t for me’ because we’re not for everyone. When they say, ‘oh, wrestling’s fake!’, that is ignorant, That is no idea of what we do. That is a cop-out. That’s a short answer and that is like, ‘well, I haven’t even taken the time to give it a second thought’. That’s not right and I don’t even pay that any mind”(Source: Ballin’ Out Podcast).

Cena hits the nail on the head. Most of the people who say wrestling is fake are ones that really haven’t given it a chance. If you have watched, you understand what these guys and girls do to their bodies in order to entertain us.

8) Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle is a legitimate Olympic Gold medalist in wrestling. As we all know, he made the transition into professional wrestling shortly after and became one of the biggest stars in history.

Angle was asked his opinion on people calling wrestling fake in an interview with NDTV.com. Here is what he said:

“If one calls it fake, then it’s an insult to the commitment of a pro wrestler. It is rather pre-determined. We both know who the winners are going to be. It is one of the barbaric form of athletics I have done. In that ring, we wrestle on woods like this (points to the table in front). Imagine getting slammed on that”

He continued:

“So, we have to learn how to avoid being injured when getting slammed. Pro Wrestling is the toughest thing I have ever done. I broke my neck four times, broke my arms, legs. I had a great career there and I am proud of it” (Source: NDTV.com).

It’s True, It’s Damn True.

Here are some more wrestlers who will argue that Wrestling Isn’t Fake.
