Wrestling Isn’t Fake, Just Ask These WWE Stars

9) Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler was interviewed by the Sydney Morning Herald back in 2013. During the interview, he was asked if it bugs him when people call wrestling fake.

Here is how Ziggler responds when someone tells him that his profession is fake:

“I usually have a much snappier comeback for them: ‘Oh, you’re an accountant. Is that fake?’ At the end of the day, you’re doing your job, and I’m really good at what I do. Whatever you do, take pride in it and be great at it”

He continued:

“I pride myself on blending that line, in this day and age, of reality TV mixed with stunt work and techniques to keep [the audience] entertained. With 9000 channels and YouTube and Google, you’ve got to keep their attention.” (Source: Sydney Morning Herald).

10) Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods was recently going back and forth with a troll on Twitter who was calling professional wrestling fake and making fun of it. Woods had a fantastic response:

Wrestlers are incredible athletes and deserve much better than saying they perform a ‘fake’ sport. The pain is real and the injuries are similar if not worse than other professional sports. Not to mention the guys in the WWE wrestle over 300 days a year and are on the road constantly.

If anyone of your friends or someone is attacking you about wrestling being fake, please direct them to this page and all of these responses! They will see that it isn’t as phoney as some people would like you to believe.
