Jeff Hardy returned alongside his brother Matt at Wrestlemania 33 and won the RAW Tag Team championships. We noted prior that there were some rumors that Jeff Hardy could be in store for a big-time singles push over the next year.

We have noticed some pretty big hints that WWE is gearing up for this future singles run for Jeff.
The first and most obvious hint was WWE advertising Jeff Hardy vs Cesaro on RAW as a ‘dream match’ a few weeks ago. This was teasing plenty more ‘dream matches’ for Jeff to come now that he is back.
Another big hint is that WWE has recently released several videos that showcase Jeff as a singles competitor over the past week:
- Jeff Hardy uses the People’s Elbow on The Rock: Raw, April 7, 2003
- Jeff Hardy vs. Rikishi: SmackDown, Feb. 22, 2001
- Jeff Hardy & Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge & Christian: Raw, May 21, 2001
- Jeff Hardy jumps off the top of a WWE production truck: One Night Stand 2008
- The Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy – Extreme Rules Match: SmackDown, Nov 14, 2008
It is clear that WWE is trying to reintroduce some of the newer fans to Jeff. He was one of the most popular stars before he left the company previously and has always sold a lot of merchandise. There is no doubt that WWE would like to see that happen again.

It could be theorized that both Matt and Jeff will eventually split and go their separate ways once Matt fully becomes ‘Broken’. When this does happen, we expect Jeff to be put into the main event picture, like he was before he left the company.
