Chris Hero is one of independent wrestling’s biggest names over the past several years. It was reported first by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com that Hero was in talks with WWE to return to the company. We have some more details on his return.

Hero previously worked for WWE from 2011 until 2013 in WWE’s developmental system. He wrestled under the name ‘Kassius Ohno’. This included a stint in NXT when it first began back in 2012.
Pro Wrestling Sheet confirms that Hero is likely heading back to WWE. They report that Hero will be wrestling using his old ring name (Kassius Ohno). They also say that the current plan for him is to re-join NXT upon arrival to the company.
There is no more details right now about when he is expected to report to WWE but we can assume the beginning of 2017 would make sense. We will update you when we know more on the situation and when everything becomes official.

This would be another big signing for NXT over the past few months. A list that includes: Roderick Strong and Tommy End already.
We previously reported that WWE was in ‘signing mode’ right now to help boost their rosters. It looks like WWE is starting to get the ball rolling on what could be a big 2017 for the company.
