WWE Prank Stories That Will Make You Laugh

7)  Triple H and Shawn Michaels Rib Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes was interviewed by False Comeback. He told a story about when Triple H and Shawn Michaels messed with him before one of their matches. Here is what happened:

“I have really good road stories, so many of them are inappropriate. There was one the other day in the UK at an event called Inside The Ropes, I was telling these stories and I was like ‘I hope nobody reveals these stories.’ I always tell this one, I was so excited about working Triple H and Shawn Michaels — they’re just the best. DX is doing their return reunion tour in the UK, and me and Teddy were the main event, it was just a big prominent moment. I remember Hunter told me — and we had this banner that hangs over the regular pipe and drape, ‘come out and rip it down, disrespect DX so people will boo’ and I said that was great”

Turns out, it was Triple H pulling a prank on him:

“I didn’t know it was a rib, I came out, grabbed the banner, pulled it out and (pop). The only thing supporting it was a two by four and it hit me in the back of the head and I’m covered in this green speckle paint. I get in the ring and Hunter and Shawn just laughed at me the whole match. I always thought ‘oh it was an accident’ but no it was a very intentional rib and I fell for it. But that’s the road, ya know?” (Source: False Comeback)

8) The Camel Clutch Rib

One of my favorite pranks off all time. You likely remember Muhammad Hassan as one of the most controversial characters in WWE history. Hassan used the Camel Clutch as his finishing move in WWE. One day, Kurt Angle messed with Hassan after Eddie Guerrero used the move in a match. Angle told Hassan that he should approach Eddie about using the move.

The joke was that Eddie’s father, Gory Guerrero is the wrestler who actually created the move. Here is the story from Hassan’s perspective:

“The story is that Eddie Guerrero used the Camel Clutch, which was my finisher. Kurt Angle, got in my ear and said ‘Eddie shouldn’t be using your finisher, it’s disrespectful to the business.’ Not to Eddie, nothing to with Eddie it was like ‘You shouldn’t let someone use your finisher, you’re a top guy, you have to say something.’ This is Kurt Angle, so I do what he says. Lo and behold, it was Eddie’s father who invented the Camel Clutch, so I felt like a gigantic a**hole, and I got some heat for it in Tokyo”

Shane Helms has previously told the story in shoot interviews. He has claimed that Hassan tried to buy some of the wrestler’s shots at a bar as an apology and they responded by pouring them out in front of him. Hassan disputes that part of the story:

“As far as making peace and it not working, I think I picked up a $2,000 bar tab, and that was kind of the last I heard of it. I’m not discrediting Shane’s story, he may remember it differently than I do, but that was the heat I got. Ultimately, everyone knew it was Kurt who put me up to it. It doesn’t mean I shouldn’t have had the common sense not to listen, but I remember Big Show even made a comment like ‘you’re getting him in trouble again?’ They knew the comment didn’t come from me. I paid for it and tried to take it in stride” – Source; WrestlingInc.com
