5) X-Pac Gets The Smoking Gunn’s Back
On the same appearance of the Steve Austin Show, Kevin Nash tells the story about X-Pac getting his revenge for his eyebrows being shaved off.
X-Pac assumed it wasn’t Curt Hennig since they were buddies and put the blame on Billy and Bart Gunn. X-Pac decided his revenge would be to put super glue in the hats of the Smoking Gunn’s:
“The funniest thing was he knew it was either the Smoking Gunn’s or Curt. And because him and Curt were buddies for many [years], he made the calculation that it had to be the Smoking Gunn’s. We’re in El Paso, and I look over and see Kid’s over there and he’s got super glue and he’s putting it around the brim of the cowboy’s hats. I’m like what the f***. The Kid’s like a buck 70, Billy and Bart are two big ol’ raw bone dudes. That’s one thing people don’t realize. Until you shake hands with Billy Gunn, look him in the eyes, you have no idea how big that dude is. That’s a grown man. Bart was the same way”

Funny enough, this is also how X-Pac joined the Kliq:
“We go to the curtain, Smoking Gunn’s, they put their hats on, they go out there, shoot the pistols and go to pull off their hats and the s***’s glued to their hair. I about p***ed myself. We looked down at Kid, he was standing there, he watched it, he turned, looked at us and smacked his hands together like f*** you, job well done. We said dude, you’re going to need some protection. You need to get in our car. He jumped in [with the Kliq] on that there. I want this mother f***er in our car” (Source: The Steve Austin Show).
Billy Gunn has since said that it was Curt Hennig who was the one that shaved off X-pac’s eyebrows.
6) The Cat Whisperer
The British Bulldog (Davey Boy Smith) was a notorious backstage prankster. Bret Hart was often a victim of these pranks because of how serious he is. Bret tells the story of how he was able to get one over on Davey Boy. It involved a radio and his cat.
Here is the story as told by Bret Hart:
“I can remember him being in my house and I had this little toy transistor radio. It played FM/AM and took batteries. It looked like a little toy turntable. I had little speakers and I would plug it in, in the kitchen. The batteries were dead. It was completely dead. I can remember Davey coming in and going, “What are you doing?” I said, “I got this special high frequency radio that’s specially made for cats. We can’t hear it. Human beings can’t hear. It’s got such a high note that just cats can listen to. It mellows the cat out. It listens to it all day long- It keeps them mellowed out.”
I remember for maybe the next year with Davey I would wake up in the morning and Davey would have the cat on the ground and be in the squat position. Holding the cat and making him listen to the radio saying, “He likes it! He likes it!”

Bret continued:
“It was kind of an ongoing joke where people would come over to my house all the time and go, “Oh, the cat’s listening to the radio again?” Davey would always get the cat and make him listen to it. Then my sister Diana found out that we were having sport with him. Having fun with him. She told him that it made him look stupid and we were making fun of him and everyone is laughing at him. It was pretty funny and it was a harmless little joke” (Source: The Sharpshooter Show)
