6) Jim Cornette:
Jim Cornette is one of the most outspoken people in the professional wrestling industry. If he has a problem with you, he isn’t going to hold back. From all indications, he isn’t the biggest fan of Triple H.
Cornette has said in the past that he would have fired Triple H on the spot if he was in charge of WWE when the infamous ‘curtain call’ incident happened at Madison Square Garden. He has also been a harsh critic of Triple H as a performer, saying that he isn’t as good as what he is made out to be.
Here is an example:
“…Well, I would love to give you an opinion, but I am clean and sober from WWE programming for several years now, and I do read what is going on, but it seems like it’s more of the same. In my opinion, he was never the star, he was always the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money, and he continues to push his boring self down the people’s throats. You know, what more can I say, I haven’t seen it first hand, but at least he got a haircut…” (Source: Wrestling Glory Days Weekly).
Sounds like Cornette thinks that Triple H is a B+ player.
5) Scott Steiner
Scott Steiner and Triple H had a brief feud in 2003, including a match at No Way Out For The World Heavyweight Championship. Steiner is very outspoken when it comes to his dislike of Triple H.
During an interview with The Baltimore Sun, Steiner RIPPED into Triple H:
“Look at Triple H’s career before he started (having sex with) the boss’ daughter: He lost to Ultimate Warrior in 30 seconds; he was losing to guys like Alex Wright in WCW; he lost to one of the Godwins in a pig slop match. And then all of a sudden he’s [having sex with] the boss’ daughter and he’s the toughest guy in the world. I’m not the only guy who thinks that. It’s no secret what Kurt Angle thought of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Here’s one story I got from Kurt: Triple H was trying to block Kurt Angle from winning the [WWE] world title. He said in a meeting, “I think Kurt Angle’s too small.” And Jerry Brisco stood up and said, “Well, what do you think would happen if you guys fought for real?” And he sat down, shut his mouth and they ran with it” (Source: The Baltimore Sun).
In a more recent article, he took another shot at Triple H:
“WWE offered me a legends deal. My lawyer looked at it, and it’s basically illegal. It’s not worth the paper that it’s written on. So f*** them. That’s why a lot of guys are leaving like Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. It’s a monopoly and the product suffers because of it. You have two dumb***** running it in Stephanie and her (expletive) husband Triple H” (Source: WhatCulture Video).
Safe to say we probably won’t be seeing Steiner in the WWE Hall Of Fame anytime soon.
