2) Kurt Angle
It has been rumored that Kurt Angle and Triple H did not get along behind the scenes of WWE. Both guys were heavily featured on WWE TV at the same time and you can see where their egos could possibly clash.
Angle and Triple H reportedly got into a number of arguments behind the scenes of WWE and had a strong dislike for one another. Angle has been very outspoken about his issues with Triple H in the past, noting several times in interviews that the two disliked one another.
Here is what Angle said in an interview back in 2008:
“Triple H obviously wanted to bash me because I was a better wrestler than him and I deserved to be in the spot that he was in but he was never going to give up, he’s Vince’s son-in-law. I had to deal with that stuff all the time. I’d wrestle Shawn Michaels and I’d get a little rough with him, then I’d get heat from Vince McMahon because I beat up on Shawn too much. So I’m like: ‘Well you know what, I’m tired of the two long-haired sissies. If they can’t go up against me then don’t put them up against me” (Source: The Sun).
The two have since buried the hatchet and are on good terms.
1) Ultimate Warrior
Triple H and Ultimate Warrior have a history all the way back from Wrestlemania 12 where the two squared off. Warrior defeated Triple H in just over a minute and a half and the two haven’t gotten along since.
Triple H once said that Warrior was probably the most unprofessional person that he has ever stepped inside the ring with based on that match.
Warrior responded on a post on his website:
“I’m the most unprofessional person you’ve ever stepped into the ring with? Well, now, ain’t that pretty. Because what I remember, Mr. Stephanie McMahon, is that you were only in the ring with me one time — and for less than 5 minutes. Here all these years since leaving the ring and becoming interested in mentoring young people, I often wonder what kind of impact I am having because I take it seriously and it is important to me do it effectively. Well, it sure sounds like I taught you very well in the 5 minutes you had in the ring with me. Because from what I hear you are the biggest unprofessional asshole the business has ever seen. You are welcome” (Source: Gamespot).
Ouch. The two patched things up when Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Some say that Triple H was the one that even extended the olive branch that set his return to WWE in motion.
