Sami Zayn has arguably been WWE’s performer of the year for 2016. He has put on 3 match of the year candidates and has stole the show on several occasions.

Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura stole the show at NXT Takeover Dallas. Him and Kevin Owens put on a fantastic match at WWE Battleground. He also was involved in another great match at WWE Extreme Rules against the Miz, Cesaro and Owens for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
It seems like anytime he builds up momentum and steals the show, WWE knocks him back down a peg and kills it. For example, after Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn put on an absolute classic at the Battleground PPV, Zayn was not even on the main card at Summerslam.
Maybe WWE doesn’t want him to be any higher on the card than he currently is. Maybe they are trying to build him as the next Daniel Bryan while they keep holding him down to the fans dismay.
One thing is for sure, Sami Zayn will continue to knock any opportunity that he gets out of the park. Until his booking gets more consistent, fans are going to believe that he is being wasted!
