6) Bobby Roode
With RAW getting the Elimination Chamber in 2018, I think that Smackdown has the best chance at having someone win the Royal Rumble match. Because of that, Bobby Roode moves to the 6th spot on my list.
WWE seems to be very high on Roode. There are rumors that Triple H specifically is a major fan of Roode. With the company behind him, he remains a dark horse candidate to win the Rumble.
I think that AJ Styles vs Bobby Roode would be a feud that some fans would like to see. Especially if Roode turns heel over the next several weeks.
I think that Roode has a chance to win the Rumble this year. I admit I am a big fan of his so I may be a bit biased.
5) John Cena
Love him or hate him, John Cena is a candidate to win the 2018 Royal Rumble match.
With the win, Cena would tie Stone Cold Steve Austin for the most Rumble victories of all time with 3 (Cena already won in 2008 and 2013). With the win, he would also get the opportunity to break the record for the most World Championship wins of all-time. This is the record that he currently shares with Ric Flair at 16 apiece.
With Cena being a free agent, you could have him challenge for either the WWE Universal Title or the WWE Title if he wins. We could see Brock vs Cena for the Universal belt or Cena vs Styles for the WWE Title. Both matches have been done before but I don’t think that would stop WWE from doing it again.
Cena remains a decent possibility to win this year’s Rumble match. I wouldn’t count him out.
