It appears as if the next match that we will see from Brock Lesnar will be at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Brock is being advertised for the event and it will likely be his last match before Wrestlemania 34. When looking at his potential opponents, it is pretty difficult to telegraph. Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar seems like the plan for Wrestlemania, but who will challenge Brock at the event prior?

Let’s speculate on the potential opponents for Brock at the Rumble.
Finn Balor
- Early rumors suggested that Finn Balor would be Brock’s opponent at the Rumble. There was a report this week that said Vince McMahon didn’t think Balor was “over enough” for the match and has called it off. Still, when looking down the list of opponents for Brock, there isn’t really a clear-cut favorite. I still think Balor has a chance to get the match. In a WWE.com poll on who fans think should face Brock, Balor is leading by a heavy margin.
Braun Strowman
- Braun Strowman could potentially get a rematch with Brock. The problem is, I doubt that WWE wants Braun to lose to Brock twice. This would only be the match in my eyes if WWE has changed their plans from Brock vs Roman at Wrestlemania.
AJ Styles
- On Smackdown Live, AJ Styles told Brock that he was open to a rematch. WWE could do another Champion vs Champion match at the Rumble if they wanted, with more time to build towards the match. Seems unlikely but you never know.
Samoa Joe
- I thought that the first match between Joe and Lesnar was good and we might see a rematch. There were reports that Brock enjoyed working with Joe, so maybe he pushes for a second match against him?

Seth Rollins
- WWE could do Brock vs Seth if they wanted at the Rumble. Seth would have the backing of the Shield with him for the match. This could also set up Reigns vs Lesnar for Wrestlemania if done properly.
John Cena
- WWE could bring in Cena for the Rumble to face Brock. I am not sure if fans would want to see it again but Cena is someone they could bring in if they can’t decide on an opponent.
Bray Wyatt
- If WWE wants to build up a match between Bray & Brock, they need to start right now. There were some rumors earlier in the year that Bray might be an opponent for Brock and the Universal Title at some point. He is a possibility but I would say not very likely.
