Real WWE Fights That Happened Backstage

6) Ric Flair vs Eric Bischoff

Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff have had problems with one another, stemming from their time together in WCW. In WCW, Bischoff was the boss and Flair was the performer and a physical confrontation never took place.

It was a different story though when both guys were with WWE in 2003 and they were both performers. The two reportedly got into it backstage with Flair making the first move.

Flair’s Side Of The Story:

Ric Flair tells his side of the story in his book: To Be The Main –

“I slapped him hard across the face, knocking the cell phone out of his hand. I swung at him three times but couldn’t connect because he was moving so fast. When Bischoff got to the wall I pushed him on a couch, climbed on top of him, pressed my finger against his eye and said “I could take your f***ing eye out right now” (Source: To Be The Man).

Bischoff’s Side Of The Story:

“I was sitting in a chair as he yelled, “Get up, get up get, I’ll kick your ass,” or whatever he said, I don’t recall. I honestly was sitting in my chair on the phone carrying on a conversation and the people on the other end of the phone were hearing this. They asked, “What’s going on?” I said, “Don’t worry about it, it’s Ric.” (laughs) Then it became obvious to me it was far more serious than I initially thought it was. I think Ric took a punch or two, but I was on TV ten minutes later and I don’t think anybody noticed anything” (Source: PWTorch).

I guess we will probably never know the full story.

5) Yoshi Tatsu vs Sheamus

You might remember Yoshi Tatsu from his time in WWE from 2009 until about 2014. Story goes that him and Sheamus went face to face, with Yoshi coming up on the winning end. This is the second time that Sheamus makes the list, with both coming in a losing effort.

Yoshi and Sheamus were actually a tag team called: “The Movers and the Shakers” back in WWE developmental. The two also roomed together while living in Florida. The two reportedly were arguing one day and it ended up with Sheamus on the ground.

Evan Bourne (aka Matt Sydal) confirms that Sheamus got dropped by Yoshi.

“”I guess everyone heard the story about how Sheamus got dropped by Yoshi Tatsu so I think that sort of makes him soft. I will say Sheamus is also tough. He literally broke his hand in a match ramming me into a pole and didn’t even miss a beat. He’s one of the toughest guys. Maybe he’s got a soft chin, I don’t know what happened” (Source: Kayfabe Commentaries).

Yoshi Tatsu hit the knockout blow on Twitter:

Ouch lol!
