Worst Feud Award

Our Winner: Bayley and Alexa Bliss

As you have probably realized by now, I hated the Alexa Bliss and Bayley feud. It wins the award for worst feud of the year for me.

The reason why it wins for me is that of how much damage it did to the character of Bayley. You could say that Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jinder was a bad feud but Nakamura still feels like a main event player after the feud. Bayley on the other hand still hasn’t recovered and the feud between her and Bliss ended several months ago.

I feel as if some might disagree with me here, but it wins worst feud of 2017 for me. I hated it from start to finish.

Honorable Mentions: Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton.

Worst Booking Decision Of The Year Award

Our Winner: Putting The WWE Title On Jinder Mahal

I think this is an easy choice for worst booking decision of the year. Nothing against Jinder, but I don’t think that many fans enjoyed his run as WWE Champion. That is not even the reason why he wins this award since we all know that Jinder’s reign was a play for the Indian market.

The reason why his title reign wins the award is that it appears as if the play for the Indian market didn’t work. WWE canceled one of the live events in India (which is likely because of poor ticket sales). Jinder also ended up losing his match to Triple H at the live event in India.

I feel like after several months of Jinder as Champion, it has to be looked at as a failure. Respect WWE for taking a risk, but it seems like it failed. The only thing that was a success was raising the stock of Jinder Mahal.

Honorable Mention: James Ellsworth winning the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
