4) John Cena Becomes A Grand Slam Champion
While I don’t think that Cena will break the World Title record of Ric Flair in 2018, I do think that he will achieve something major. That would be Cena becoming a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.
What is the only Title that John Cena has never won in WWE? That would happen to be the Intercontinental Championship. We are going to guess that this happens at some point during the year. Cena is clearly slowing down as a full-time wrestler but I think that he will still appear frequently for the company this year.
We expect him to join the prestigious list of Grand Slam winners in 2018. The same list that Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns recently joined.
5) The Balor Club Finally Forms
Update: It looks like I got my wish on the 1st day of 2018. Off to a great start with these predictions.
If you look at the years that Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows had in 2017, I think that many fans would agree that they could have been used better (or more often).
I think that 2018 could be the year that the Balor Club faction finally forms in WWE|. It would give all 3 of them something to do and could be a fun storyline moving forward.
Maybe this is wishful thinking but I would love to see all 3 of them receive a big push in 2018. It could be a smart idea to put them together as a team and see how it goes.
6) Lashley vs Lesnar Happens In WWE
There are some rumors that Bobby Lashley could be WWE bound in 2018 when his Impact Wrestling contract expires. Lashley hasn’t been with WWE since 2008.
We predict that not only will Lashley re-join WWE, he will also face off against Brock Lesnar in a big-time match in 2018.
A lot of fans have been asking for a Brock vs Lashley match over the years based on their MMA backgrounds. Could make for a great main event match for Summerslam.
