Wrestlemania 35 Rumors And Spoilers

5) The Original Plans For The Main Event Of Wrestlemania 35

According to a rumor, Roman Reigns was originally planned to be in the main event match of Wrestlemania 35. This would have marked the 5th straight year that Reigns’ match went on last at Wrestlemania.

The speculation is that Reigns’ opponent at the event was going to be Dean Ambrose. This would have come after Dean turned on Roman (instead of Seth). This is something that was talked about prior to Dean’s injury last year.

My Take: In my opinion, Dean turning on Roman would have been a much better storyline than Dean turning on Seth. This is obviously not WWE’s fault though as Roman’s leukemia returned and forced them to change things up. Still, it is interesting to think about how great a Dean-Roman feud could have been leading into Wrestlemania 35.

4) The Long-Term Plans For The RAW & Smackdown Women’s Titles

With Charlotte Flair now holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship, many fans have been wondering if WWE is going to be unifying the Women’s Championships.

According to a rumor floating around, WWE is not planning to unify the belts long-term. The company wants a Champion on both brands in the long run. Even though both Titles are involved in the main event, WWE isn’t looking to merge them.

My Take: This is the right call. There is too much Women’s talent to only have one Champion who floats between brands.

3) Ronda Rousey’s Future After Wrestlemania 35

One of the biggest Wrestlemania 35 rumors has to do with Ronda Rousey. There have been rumors floating around that Ronda could be done as a full-time performer for WWE after Wrestlemania. The reason behind it would be that Ronda wants to start a family, something that she has been vocal about for some time now. Ronda addressed the speculation in an interview, saying that her reproductive organs are not anyone’s business.

Ronda’s contract with WWE doesn’t expire until 2021, so she won’t be leaving the company completely if it happens. Ronda’s status post-Wrestlemania 35 will be one of the biggest stories to watch out for over the next few days.

Ronda is also not featured in the advertising for Summerslam, which could be another hint that she is taking time off after Wrestlemania.

My Take: My guess is that Ronda will be taking several months off after Wrestlemania. I could see her back before 2019 is over though.
